charitable events, and community service
The Miss Montgomery County and Miss Houston Pageants, official local
preliminary to the Miss Texas and Miss America Pageants, provides young women
between the ages of 17 and at least a senior in high school, and 24 the chance to
earn valuable scholarship assistance. Contestants compete in the areas of talent,
interview, fitness and evening gown. They also learn the importance of being of
service to others as they work in their chosen area of community involvement.
This program is the largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women in
the world, and one of the few programs of it's kind that produces leaders from
many different professional fields |
